RICHARD MILLE is a Swiss fine watchmaking brand founded in 2001, after the company was acquired by Matra in 1981, Richard Mille took over the management of Matra's watchmaking business, which included the brands Yema and CupillardRième. 2001 saw the creation of the Richard Mille company with Audemars Piguet. In 2001, he and Audemars Piguet founded the Richard Mille company, whose first product, the RM001, went on sale in 2001. Breaking away from the traditional constraints of watchmaking, he created a watch that is comfortable, shock-resistant, durable, precise and lightweight, and has been described as “Formula 1 on the wrist”.
